ABOUT THIS SERVICE
Industrial fallout, rail dust, and brake particles land on paint and embed themselves into the clearcoat surface where they slowly oxidize and expand. Left untreated, these particles create tiny corrosion spots and surface etching across the paint.
Our mobile clay bar and polishing service combines chemical decontamination with physical clay treatment to safely remove embedded fallout before polishing restores gloss and clarity.
OUR PROCESS
Every clay bar & polishing job follows this exact process — no shortcuts, no skipped steps.
We feel the paint, identify high-contamination zones, and confirm clay grade. Aggressive clay on a delicate finish will marr — we choose product carefully.
Foam pre-wash, two-bucket contact wash, wheels and trim done separately. Paint must be free of loose grit before clay touches it.
Iron-removal chemistry is sprayed on, dwells, and turns red as it dissolves bonded brake-dust contamination. Then it is rinsed off — clay is more effective afterwards.
Lubricant + clay across every panel, wheel face, glass, and trim. Repeated until the surface is glass-smooth. Clay is folded as it loads up to expose a fresh face.
Dual-action polisher with a soft pad and finishing polish — reduces minor swirl marks and brings depth back to the clear coat. Surface is wiped down before the next step.
Paint sealant locks the freshly decontaminated surface in. Trim dressing, tire dressing, and glass hydrophobic spray finish the visual.

Clay is simple in theory and easy to mess up in practice. Here is what we do that DIY misses.
Without iron-fallout chemistry first, clay alone takes much longer and is more aggressive than it needs to be. The chemistry softens contamination before the clay touches it.
DIY clay gets contaminated quickly. Used past a certain point, it will drag particles across the paint and create marring. We fold and replace as soon as it loads up.
Quick-detail spray works as clay lube; tap water does not. Insufficient lube is the most common cause of clay-induced marring on consumer attempts.
Even a perfectly executed clay pass leaves the paint slightly hazy — that is what the light polish step fixes. Skipping polish leaves the paint less glossy than it could be.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Used correctly with enough lubrication, fresh clay does not damage paint. Used dry, reused past its lifespan, or on un-washed paint with grit on the surface, clay will marr — which is why we wash and pre-treat first and replace clay as it loads up.
Daily drivers benefit from a clay pass every 6–12 months. Garage-kept cars can stretch to once a year or every other year. Tar-heavy or industrial-zone driving may need it more often.
No — clay removes bonded contamination above the paint surface. Scratches are below the surface and require polishing or paint correction.
Yes — every protection layer is only as good as the surface under it. Clay + polish is the standard prep step under wax, sealant, and coating jobs.
Clay leaves the paint slightly hazy. A light polish refines the finish, reduces swirl marks, and brings out the deepest gloss before the protection layer is applied.
Yes — glass clay removes water-spot etching and overspray, and wheel-face clay removes embedded brake dust. Both are part of our Premium tier by default.
