Mobile paint correction service that restores your finish on-site
Our mobile paint correction service brings defect assessment, multi-stage compounding, and finishing polish to your location across Wilmington, Winnabow, Shallotte, and surrounding areas. Swirls, water spots, and oxidation corrected on-site at your driveway or office. No shop visit, no shortcuts.
ABOUT THIS SERVICE
Swirl marks, oxidation, haze, and light scratches can usually be corrected because they exist within the clearcoat itself. Deep scratches reaching base coat or primer cannot be fully removed through polishing alone.
Our professional paint correction service evaluates which defects are safely correctable before polishing begins so realistic expectations are established before work starts.
OUR PROCESS
Every paint correction job follows this exact process — no shortcuts, no skipped steps.
We inspect the paint under direct lighting, measure clear-coat thickness, and run a test spot to confirm compound and pad selection. This sets the plan for the entire correction.
Foam pre-wash, two-bucket hand wash, iron-fallout treatment, and clay-bar pass. Paint must be completely clean and free of bonded contamination before any polishing.
For medium-to-heavy defects, a heavier compound on a cutting pad removes swirl marks, scratches, and oxidation. Paint thickness is re-measured after this stage.
A finishing polish on a softer pad refines the clear coat after the cut stage. This removes any micro-marring left by the compound and brings out the deepest gloss.
Paint is inspected under multiple light sources — direct sun, halogen, LED — to confirm every defect has been addressed. Touch-ups are performed where needed.
We finish with a sealant (Single / Two-Stage) or coating-ready prep (Multi-Stage). Without protection, corrected paint is vulnerable to the same defects coming back.

A polishing kit and a YouTube video is how many cars end up with thinned clear coat or hologram marks.
Clear coat is typically 40–80 microns. Removing even 5 microns wrong is permanent. We measure before, during, and after correction.
Heavy compound on a hard pad on soft clear coat will ruin the paint. We test, select, and re-evaluate compound and pad as we work through the vehicle.
Rotary polishers in inexperienced hands create hologram swirl patterns that are worse than the originals. Our dual-action and forced-rotation polishers reduce that risk dramatically.
Corrected paint with no protection layer is exposed to the same daily contamination. We always finish with sealant — or recommend a ceramic coating — to lock the result in.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Most light-to-medium swirl marks and scratches yes. Deep scratches that have cut through the clear coat into the base coat cannot be polished out — those require touch-up paint or refinishing. We will tell you upfront what is recoverable.
Single-stage correction typically removes 2–5 microns. Two-stage 5–10 microns. Multi-stage up to 15 microns. We measure before, during, and after to make sure we stay well within safe limits — typical clear coat is 40–80 microns total.
Strongly recommended — but not required. Without a coating or strong sealant, corrected paint is exposed and will swirl again the next time the car is washed. Coating locks the correction in for years.
If protected with sealant, the corrected finish typically holds 6–12 months before fine swirls reappear. With a ceramic coating, it holds for years.
Yes — new cars almost always have transit swirls, dealership-wash marks, and shipping defects. Many of our coating customers correct before coating their new vehicle.
Single-stage 4–5 hours. Two-stage 6–8 hours. Multi-stage 1.5–2 days. We work in your garage or driveway and time the stages so the car cures correctly.
